Start Date: February 27, 2024, to May 3, 2024 (exact end date may be earlier depending on the team’s progress in the league)  
Days/Hours: Weekday practices 3:30PM – 5:30PM (Games weekdays range from 3:00pm – 6pm but are only 1 hour in length) 

Rudolf Steiner School seeks an experienced Head Coach for the spring season for Varsity Boys Volleyball. The Head Coach reports to the Athletics Director.

Qualified candidates must have previous coaching and/or playing experience, have a positive coaching style, value teamwork and sportsmanship and have a strong understanding of the sport.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include: 
Collaborate with coaches to organize and plan thoughtful practices in advance
Facilitate 3-4 practices per week
Lead logistics around athlete arrival and departure from meets
Travel with team to all meets
Supervise and manage team behavior at all times
Make sure attendance is taken at all practices and meets
Communicate via email, text, or phone to the team, coaches, and athletic director, and follow up with student-athletes when necessary.
Model and encourage positive youth behaviors and promote Steiner’s mission, values and philosophies

QUALIFICATIONS  
The successful candidate will demonstrate: 
2+ years of coaching experience preferred
An understanding of the sport’s rules and regulations required
Experience working with high school-age children preferred
Previous experience in track and field competitively at the high school and/or college level preferred
CPR/First Aid certification, a plus
Excellent oral and written communication skills, organization skills and attention to detail.
